NEW FULL TIME COURSE OCTOBER 2010
Acting School North Ltd is the newest of the great British acting schools. What makes us different is that we want to make our students artists and working actors, not necessarily in that order.
Our students of the 2009-2010 cohort have progressed confidently tackling the most demanding acting tasks in performance. In August they will present their self-produced show in a London festival, introduce themselves to agents & casting directors in their London Showcase and devise one final performance for September based on a powerful literary classic.
During this time they have also engaged in recorded media genres (even being filmed in a short-feature film written especially for them) and developed their professional life plans meeting
WE TEACH YOU HOW TO “ACT AND EAT AT THE SAME TIME”
We will do so, not only by teaching you a unique, integral acting technique for live (theatre) as well as recorded media (film, radio, TV, etc) but also by teaching you, from the start and throughout the whole course, to organise and promote your career so that they might not have to have a “day job” again.
Ours is a high-octane, one-year, full-time course and we operate from the Northern metropolis of Leeds which offers matchless cost of living for students and is the shortest distance from all major Northern cities in the UK.
Our contact teaching hours take place during three consecutive days of the week and the rest of the week is left for independent learning (research, extra rehearsal, etc). Students will organise their non-contact teaching hours on their own and this will allow them to take part-time employment if desired.
We will be auditioning for remaining places in the course during the summer and may close one cohort group after accepting twenty students. If you are interested in joining the course, contact us to book an Audition.
